Bram Stadhouders | Sidsel Endresen | Jim Black

Sidsel Endresen is known from her work with Bugge Wesseltoft, Nils Petter Molvaer, and many more of the great Norwegian and international musicans. She released several solo albums on ECM and Jazzland. Jim Black (Winter&Winter) is at the forefront of a new generation of musicians bringing jazz into the 21st century. In addition to being one of the most influential drummers of our time, he is also the leader of one of the world's most forward-thinking bands, AlasNoAxis.
Stadhouders | Govaert Duo

Beautiful ethereal, wild, soft, heart-rending, melodic and spacy soundscapes come out of this duo, using a unique combination of guitar and guitarsynthesizer, laptop, drums, and sparkling percussion. They already have an interesting jazz-past, but now they’re using free improvisation, combining electronics and acoustical instruments to create a new and very emotional world of sound. Since they met in highschool they have played over 100 shows all over Europe.
Bram Stadhouders Korps

Bram Stadhouders (guitar, laptop), David Hoogerheide (keyboards), Harry Cherrin (sax, flute), Santiago Botero (bass), Onno Govaert (drums), Claudia Hansen (percussion). They have received much critical acclaim and performed in The Netherlands and Germany.
They released a CD with Brams compositions, named "The Ship Comes". Music as a filmic panorama, full of exciting cliffhangers and warmblooded atmosphere-changes.
Collaborations in the past
Collaboration with German artist duo Springer Parker

SpringerParker - Nature sounds and visuals
Bram Stadhouders - Solo guitar and laptop
MEMORIA NORWAY - LIVE PERFORMANCE (2010)
»THERE ARE PLACES IN OUR HEADS ONE CAN TRAVEL TO«
A LIVE COLLAGE BY MEANS OF THE ARTISTIC TRANSFORMATION OF SOUNDS AND IMAGES INTO A POETIC EQUIVALENT OF MEMORIES
During their explorations, SpringerParker collect fragments of sound and image and they will create collages of these in the live performances, so that they put together their own definition of the emergence, perception, and memory of a geographical region – the landscape of the Finnmark in North Norway.
VIDEO
The starting point is image material on transparent film, which has been recorded on location as photographs and frottages. Like playing a musical instrument, these are then collaged live on a glass table illuminated from above, while a camera records the images from below. The artists visually manipulate and project live the image signals that are produced, using custom-developed software.
SOUND
The artists record natural sounds in the landscapes of the Finnmark using special microphones. For the sound, the artists have developed an omnidirectional sound system that works like the soundbox of a musical instrument, so that the notes will be transmitted into space from various points, while the audience wanders around.
