Bram Stadhouders Korps
"The Ship Comes"

enderra

Technicolor cinema for the ears. Sometimes the desert sand blows in your eyes, or you get lost in an empty ghost-town. Let the Bram Stadhouders Korps drag you in their world. The young guitarist and composer Bram Stadhouders is not afraid of adventure. Completely unconcerned he thins out the borders between jazz, pop, ambient. Stadhouders makes the musical treasure map, but his five-headed Korps chooses a different path every time without loosing the endgoal out of sight. Music as a filmic panorama, full of exciting cliffhangers and warmblooded atmosphere-changes. "You make something very special", said drummer Jim Black already about Stadhouders' duo with Onno Govaert. The music adventurer is warned: don't miss this boat.

Bram Stadhouders - guitar, guitarsynth, laptop, mandol, kora, lyra, vocals
David Hoogerheide - keyboards
Harry Cherrin - saxophones, flute
Santiago Botero - double bass, electric bass
Onno Govaert - drums
Claudia Hansen - percussion

LIVE REVIEW
"In this extatic performance from these young hounds, boringness is the last thing that would come to mind. Bram has been called a jazztalent for years. Tonight he reaches new heights with laptops, synths, saxosphone, mad drums and percussion. Bold and professionaly, the group entrains you from one limit to the next, without getting lost in too much sound. Think of Pat Metheny that leads a jamsession with Jaga Jazzist and Squarepusher. An alternative performance that's very welcome." -3voor12, Utrecht
"A nice acquintance with a group of talens" -Hessel Veldman, concertzender blog
